Samsung rumored to work on its largest tablet yet

Of all the major manufacturers, Samsung pretty clearly has the most variety to offer users when it comes to a selection of tablets. You can choose between a number of sizes, and the arrival of tablet-sized Notes gives users the choice between different feature sets, as well. Now a new rumor suggests that Samsung could be looking to push beyond its own boundaries a little bit, and could be preparing to launch its largest tablet ever.

Korea’s ET News claims that “industry sources” have indicated that Samsung will release a 12.2-inch tablet during the third quarter of the year. While there’s no mention made of a name for this device, it’s supposed to arrive with an S-Pen stylus, which would strongly imply that this hardware might launch as the Galaxy Note 12.2.

While Samsung has dropped the ball when it comes to giving tablets high-resolution displays on more than one occasion, this 12.2-incher is said to have a 2560 × 1600 display, just like the Nexus 10 (albeit larger).
