With Apple expected to introduce its next iPhone models in just a matter of weeks, we find ourselves circling back around on a number of rumors that have popped up over the last few months, wondering if they’ll indeed end up proving accurate. One we’ve heard a couple times has suggested that Apple could be bringing a new color option to the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, allowing shoppers to choose to get their phones with a rose gold body. Will Apple actually deliver such models? Some new imagery sure attempts to assert as much, depicting some purported iPhone 6S-series handsets in the new rose color option.

It sure is pink – we’ll give it that – but we have a few doubts about what we’re seeing here. Considering the quality of iPhone 6S leaks to date, these shots look a bit too good, with a polished, commercial appearance. We suppose it’s possible they’re real, but we’ve got a hard-to-shake suspicion that this is just a palette-swap recoloring job on some existing iPhone 6 (and 6 Plus) handsets.

That said, even if these are fakes (for the moment, we just don’t know either way) what do you think about what you’re seeing here? Do you dig the pink look? For though these might be a Photoshop job, that rose gold color could very much end up being a real option for the new iPhones, and it’s conceivable they could turn up looking pretty close to this.
