Red HTC 10 may be a KDDI au exclusive

We heard that the HTC 10 would break outside of the pallid phone palette that other manufacturers have stuck to for a long time. You know what we’re talking about. Black. White. Gold. Oh no, not … roooooose goooold. But hey, a strong, bold red wouldn’t be bad on this shiny new phone, right?

Well, ePrice out of Taiwan is reporting that most everyone will be missing out on this red version, at least for now. You know who will get it, though? KDDI au subscribers. In Japan.

Well, shucks.

Mind you, even though the HTC One A9 had its iPhone tendencies, it had some darn good hue selections, including another Asian-only deep red, but also in a garnet color. Heck, Verizon sold a red One M8. And meanwhile, this editor personally owns an HTC One M7 in red and after three years, it still is a looker. Just thought you should know.
