Pushbullet supports Allo messaging from PC

Allo ain’t no iMessage. We could say that over and over again and that wouldn’t change anything about it. But at least with Google’s chat app, you can now text from your PC, though with a third-party app.

That app is Pushbullet. It announced that you can mirror notifications from its app on your Android phone over to the PC app. PC quick reply support seems only available for phones with Android Nougat on them.

It still doesn’t cure the SMS rat nest that Allo goes through where your account is verified through your phone number, but doesn’t deliver out to SMS clients directly — instead going through a virtual router. And on the other side, iMessage isn’t on Android and might have to be used on a PC in order to do so.

But hey, Pushbullet ain’t bad.
