Proof of Concept: Shake to Wake Your Device

Those having issues with bringing your device back on from sleep using the power button method or the stylus or simply those who want to be cool about their own way can now do this waking up thing a pretty cool way, giving it has a G-Sensor.

Shake and Wake is a proof of concept that would allow you to bring your device back from sleep by shaking it. To achieve this, download the package and look inside the BIN folder, copy the executable to your Device and launch it. It will stay resident and watch for motion activity and when detected, it will wake your Device up. It’s been only tested with the HTC HD2 and the impact on battery life has not been determined yet but it’s surely a nice thing to have.
