One of the most high-profile changes arriving in Widows 10 is Microsoft’s move to a new primary browser, with Spartan rising to fill Internet Explorer’s shoes. We’ve heard a lot about what Spartan will do, and earlier this week its first public PC release landed, but so far we haven’t seen it be made available for the Windows 10 Technical Preview for phones. Spartan’s mobile debut should be coming soon, as a newly leaked video attempts to reveal an upcoming Windows 10 for phones build, Spartan and all.
Like that new video showing Windows 10 on the Xiaomi Mi4, the Chinese narration here isn’t doing our comprehension any favors, but we still get to see a few changes compared to the current public Windows 10 build. Few are as significant as Spartan (which you’ll see arrive just before two minutes in), but we do see a number of UI tweaks, re-envisioned apps, and improved connectivity between services.
So when is this (or whatever does become the next public Windows 10 Technical Preview release for phones) coming out? We’d like to say “soon,” as Microsoft talked about getting these updates out with roughly monthly frequency, and by that consideration this next one is already overdue. For the moment, we’ll just have to be patient and satisfy our curiosity with additional leaks like this one.
