One more Nokia EOS leak: now powered-on

As more and more images of Nokia’s rumored 41-megapixel PureView EOS emerge, we’re finding ourselves dialing-back the skepticism a little. Granted, there were some explicit signs of image manipulation in some of what we saw yesterday, but that need not necessarily speak to the illegitimacy of the hardware being depicted, and with similar images arriving from multiple sources, all of this is starting to seem very real. So far, we’ve had a number of looks at incomplete shells, as well as some at the assembled EOS, but now we get to take things one step further and get to see a powered-on EOS.

Now, there’s no shocking new software revealed in this new shot, but it does give us a bit of context for all the other EOS shots we’ve been seeing – a fully operational handset can say a lot about where the EOS is in the evolution from engineering samples to going production-ready.

Despite continuing to lower our guard when it comes to these pics, we have to wonder: if you have access to a complete, working, powered-on EOS, why NOT take a picture of its camera software in operation? After all, that’s the meat-and-potatoes for this guy.

We should be seeing more of this phone soon, as ViziLeaks promises there’s more to come.
