It’ll be a while yet before your Apple Watch or Android Wear device can help you throw Pokeballs automatically to and fetch potions and battle other trainers. But what if you can’t wait? What if you want to do… well, just the first thing right now?

You’re just in luck as the Pokemon GO Plus accessory is finally now available for the price of $34.99 at Amazon and your local GameStop or £34.99 on the Nintendo UK online store. Be warned that both online marketplaces are low or out of stock.

It’s a wrist-worn bracelet with a Pokeball skeumorphed into a Google Maps locator pin. You connect it to iOS 8 device (or newer) with your iPhone 5 (or newer) or your Android KitKat (you guessed it) device with 2GB of RAM and Bluetooth 4.0 (again, or newer).

You can keep your phone in your pocket while you walk round while your Pokemon Go Plus buzzes and lights up when a Pokemon or PokeStop nearby. You can click on its button to attempt a catch or grab whatever freebies you can find at the stop — the device vibrates and flashes different colors for different situations. You can also walk to hatch eggs as the GO Plus keeps track of your distance (it runs on a coin cell battery).
