Amazon’s 12 days of deals kick off with a great list of Echo devices

For starters, the Echo Show 5 is down to $50 from its regular $90 price, the 3rd Gen Echo Dot is $22 compared to the regular $50, the 3rd Gen Echo is $40 off, leaving it at $60. Qualcomm kicks off Snapdragon Tech Summit, teases SD 865 and 765/765G
Qualcomm’s Senior VP and GM of mobile took the stage to unveil to new 5G Snapdragon Mobile platforms to lead and scale both 5G and AI next year. We got the Snapdragon 855, which includes the X55 5G Modem. They also launched the Snapdragon 765/765 5G, more details will be shared about the chips tomorrow. The company also announced its new 3D Sonic Max fingerprint scanner which is significantly larger than before and includes some significant improvements.
Apple’s latest “special event” wasn’t that special after all
Apple held their ‘Special Event‘ in New York City yesterday based on the App Store and… it wasn’t really special. According to Marc Gurman, the event featured no software or hardware updates and instead focused on asking developers stories about how their apps came to be. This event was only about developers spreading the word about their apps, so it looks like we’ll have to wait to see when that sweet display stand is available to the market.
New screen protector for the Samsung Galaxy S11 confirms previous leaks
On a tweet from Ice Universe, we get some leaks of the screen protectors for the Samsung Galaxy S11. We only get to see the top and bottom parts and not the full screen protector. It does show thinner bezels than what we get from the Galaxy Note 10 with the single centered punch hole at the top and a very minimal chin. Reports also claim that the buttons will be on the same side as the Note and it won’t bring a headphone jack.
mini LED iPad Pro and MacBook Pro now predicted to arrive next year
A couple of months ago we heard that Apple is working on bringing miniLED displays to iPads and Macs. According to a new report from Ming Chi Kuo, we should expect these devices by late 2020 and not in Q1 of 2021 as it was rumored before. According to Kuo we should see these new displays on a new 12.9in iPad Pro and on a new 16in MacBook Pro.

The new Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 is coming, and you won’t believe its price
We’ve been hearing that Samsung is working on a clamshell foldable as the successor of the Galaxy Fold. A new report from the Korea Herald claims that industry sources expect the device to retail for around $845. The clamshell is expected to be launched globally and rumors hint that they may launch it in February which means it could appear at the Galaxy S11’s event.
