Story of the day:

It seems that Apple will have to include USB-C ports in their future devices

Even with criticism from Apple, EU lawmakers voted in 582-40 in favor of having new rules to establish having one common charger on all mobile devices across Europe. The Commission should adopt this rules by July in order to reduce electronic waste and have a well-functioning internal market. They haven’t disclosed what the universal charger of choice will be but with Apple laptops using USB-C it’ll be even harder to get the Lightning port to be the one. We’ll keep you posted on what laws they will have to regulate this and if Apple will follow through.
