Microsoft says the Xbox Series X console is launching in November

Keeping on with the official news, let’s talk about Microsoft and the Xbox Series X. Recently, Microsoft said that we should expect this console for the holidays but, now we have somewhat of a more accurate date. They just announced today that we’ll be getting this new console in November but, they didn’t provide a specific date. However, rumors hint to it being available in the first week of November unless we get more delays due to the pandemic. If you’re planning on buying it, Microsoft claims that there will be 100 titles optimized for the Series X once it launches, and the rumor mill also hints to a more affordable Series S making the cut but, that part is all pure speculation.

New images show the differences between the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 and its predecessor

Last week at Unpacked, Samsung’s “One More Thing” was the Galaxy Z Fold 2 but, they weren’t too explicit when it comes to specs and differences and, no one really has this phone yet as pre-orders start on September 1st. Probably the biggest upgrade is the outer display and now, some new images from Korea show us how much of an upgrade it really is. These new images show us a side-by-side comparison of display real-estate with the original Fold. The original outer display was a meager 4.6in and the new one is a massive upgrade to 6.2in. The main display also grew from 7.3in to 7.6in by getting rid of the notch. It also got thinner when closed by a couple of millimeters from each side. We can’t wait to see the device once it comes out.

Xiaomi’s Mi 10 Ultra packs a 120x zoom camera, 120Hz display and supports 120W charging

Xiaomi has just launched a transparent OLED TV. Yes, you read that right!

Let’s talk about Xiaomi for a second because, well the company just had a very interesting event for their 10th anniversary. For starters they just launched a full blown NineBot Lamborghini GoKart, yeah a GoKart. It will apparently sell in Malaysia and China for around $1500 and it has some pretty impressive specs when it comes to battery. Moving on, they launched a full blown Transparent TV, yeah you heard that right. It’s called the Mi TV LUX OLED Transparent Edition because, we love complicated names right? It’s a 55in OLED, running at 120Hz and powered by a MediaTek 9650 chip. It’ll cost you a cool $7200. Finally, they also launched the Mi 10 Ultra which packs a 6.67in display running at 120Hz, it is powered by the Snapdragon 865 along with a 4500 mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging. It also brings a quad camera array with a 48MP main sensor and a 120x hybrid zoom camera. This one will cost you around $760 and most of these products will be available on August 16th.

Google Pixel 5 with Snapdragon 765G SoC appears on AI-Benchmark website

Of course, it’s been a week since we got the Pixel 4a so, Pixel 5 leaks start to emerge. The Pixel 5 has apparently gone through AI-Benchmark, revealing some of the specs. We’ve heard a lot of speculation that this phone might not be a flagship after all and, these test results kinda go along with that. The benchmarks show that this phone will be powered by the mid-tier Snapdragon 765G, it’ll pack 8GB of RAM while running Android 11. As for the benchmarks, it scored lower than the Pixel 4 and 4 XL due to the processor but not by a significant margin which is not bad. It’s also expected to pack a 6.67in display running at 120Hz. We’ll apparently get it in October along with the Pixel 4a 5G.

Story of the day:

Apple may launch a new 4G-only iPhone 12 next year

We’ve heard some mixed rumors about the iPhone 12 so far, some people say we’ll be getting both LTE and 5G variants and then you got Ming Chi Kuo claiming we’ll only get 5G It makes sense for Apple to make an LTE variant since not all markets have 5G, like why tax them with a more expensive iPhone? Well a new research note from Business Insider claims that we will be getting at least one LTE variant.. Yes just one. It will be cheaper, but there’s a catch. It won’t happen this fall. See, according to them, we should expect multiple 5G iPhone 12’s this year, but the cheaper LTE variant will get a sort of iPhone SE treatment and wait until around February 2021. According to them, by cheaper we’re talking around an $800 mark, meaning that this could actually be a Pro variant. Apple apparently wants to appeal to a broader market by making the price tags more aggressive during this recession. We’re supposed to be getting 4 new iPhones this year, sometime around October or November, all of them being 5G variants.
