If you have a BlackBerry PlayBook by Research in Motion, the company which since yesterday will be know as simply, BlackBerry, you will be able to update to the latest BlackBerry 10 operating system. The company’s CEO, Thorsten Heins, dropped the information yesterday at a Q&A session following the BlackBerry 10 event.

All existing seven-inch flavors of the PlayBook tablet will be updated to BlackBerry 10. However, plans on future tablets are not yet crystallized, as the CEO acknowledged that it takes more than selling hardware: “We are looking for specific value added services on top of the tablet”. Until then, be on the lookout for your OS refresh, whenever that will be available (as not specific timeframes were announced).
