Chromebook Pixel 2, Acer R11 both getting Google Play Store access

The trial balloon has popped and more Chromebooks are joining in on the Android action.

Weeks after the ASUS Chromebook Flip got developer access to the Google Play Store, both the Chromebook Pixel 2 and the Acer Chromebook R11 have come onto major updates in the developer channel of Chrome 53.

All you have to do is get to the About Chrome OS box in your settings, switch to the “Developer – unstable” channel and then pick up any updates as they come in. Once that’s done, you can now enable “Android apps” in your settings.
