Android Wear will finally be hitting consumer wrists soon, but that doesn’t mean archenemy Pebble isn’t on top of its game. It’s gone ahead and released yet another Pebble firmware update, along with an updated iOS app, to tide update-hungry users over with even more new features.

First, let’s talk about the firmware update to version 2.3. That brings improved Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity with your Pebble smartwatch’s companion device, which is anything but a bad thing, along with better notification handling. To elaborate on the latter point, when viewing notifications, you’ll now be able to skip to the next one with just a double click of the Down or Up hardware buttons on the right side of your smartwatch.

Take a look at the Vine below to see the feature in action:

There are bug fixes and stability improvements present as well. To update, all you have to do is jump into the Android or iOS companion app, and you’ll be guided from there.

The iOS app update isn’t as impressive, though it certainly is something. A tweak to the app makes it so that more new JavaScript apps can be downloaded from the company’s own appstore, and it’s possible that there are bug fixes and stability improvements (though the changelog oddly doesn’t list this staple-of-all-changelog-lists).

Be sure to grab both updates ASAP if you own a Pebble and iOS companion device.
