PayPal.Me is a new solution for easy transactions between friends

Square’s approach to helping buddies send money to each other is kind of smart, so much so that it has driven some envy in the industry. PayPay was really one of the pioneers of the whole concept, but over the years the service has turned into more of a bank than anything else. It only makes sense for the company to look for a simplified way to return to its roots, and today we see how.

The company has just announced a new service called PayPal.Me, that intends to simplify monetary transactions between friends. The concept is rather interesting though, where you can create a personal URL that friends can simply visit to send you money. This URL can be personalized to your name as well, so it could be PayPal.Me/JaimeNeedsMoney or stuff like that. From the link, friends can access their PayPal accounts and send you money on the fly.

Whether this service is superior to Square’s or not is yet to be seen, but creativity is always something we praise.
