OPPO R7 full metal unibody build confirmed
Just as we heard about some of the alleged specs inside the upcoming OPPO R7, we’re getting more details, this time, from the horse’s mouth. While it’s not too much to go by, the company has officially confirmed the OPPO R7 full metal unibody construction. Additionally, the official wording refers to an “ultra-thin” body, making us doubt the previous reports that claimed it to be a thick-ish phone.
In addition to the 2.5D screen (basically, the rounded edges of the glass on top of the screen which conceals the bezels) and super-narrow bezels, the R7 will bring a metallic design (which is common for the company’s premium devices in the R line-up), which is ready to impress its future owners by undergoing “48 polishing processes to retain the original metallic flavor as well as a curvy and lustrous charm”.
What we can finally see in the official render attached is that the camera will also protrude on the R7, just as on the R5. However, we can’t really judge the amount of protrusion from the image, but reports of a flush back can now be all waved off.
