OPPO Neo 7 announced, complete with mirror back on a budget
Remember the OPPO Neo 5 from June (cause there was also one in 2014)? It was announced together with a Neo 5s, but both of these smartphones now have an official follow-up. The OPPO Neo 7 announced today is just as shiny, continuing the company’s “mirror back” approach to the Neo family of smartphones.
It will debut in India, but it will also reach a total of 17 markets around the globe (including South East Asia, South Asia, MENA and Mexico), and it will go for sub-$200. There will be 3G and 4G versions of this shiny phone, black and white variants (with silver and gold edges), inspired by Chinese bronze mirrors, that has a reflective surface on the back.
The OPPO Neo 7 packs a five-inch TFT screen with qHD resolution (960 x 540 pixels), quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (expandable), dual SIM capabilities (where the second SIM slot acts as a microSD card slot for up to 32GB for the 3G-, and up to 128GB for the 4G variant), eight-megapixel main camera with back-illuminated sensor and aperture f/2.0, five-megapixel front-facer, Android 5.1-based ColorOS 2.1, 2,420mAh battery, and a magnesium alloy chassis.
