OPPO claims win in Chinese offline sales for April

A quick follow-up to our story yesterday about Xiaomi topping the market share pie chart in China — apparently, one chart doesn’t tell the whole story. An OPPO representative clarified to us that while Xiaomi did take a win in Sino Research’s April report, OPPO got another one.

Xiaomi led the market in online-based sales while OPPO had the most offline sales for the month.

Here’s how those numbers stack up:

Though listed, brands of western interest that didn’t make the top ten included Lenovo, Letv (LeEco) and ZTE. While the market saw just under 31 million, a 9.1 percent annual slip, it’s still way larger than the 1.1 million online sales made in the same month. Looks like someone has fair reason to toot this horn.

OPPO continues its offline sales lead from March.
