Like so many other mobile device manufacturers, Oppo got into the Christmas-specific giving mood early this year, shaving $100 off the list prices of the R7, R7 Plus and N3 phones for Black Friday. Then, the sizzling hot 4GB RAM-packing R7s started selling for just $400, and now, the “final device of the oh-so-popular R7 series” is the protagonist of an Advent Calendar “game.”

While it looks unlikely an R7s Plus will ever see daylight after all, the non-Plus version can be yours free of charge as long as you earn 7 different badges offered between December 7 and 13. You only need to follow and “tear open” the Advent Calendar every day next week, and get in early, with the first two contestants reaching the 7 badge total netting a gratis Oppo R7s.

Not a fan of giveaways where you have a 1 percent chance (or smaller) of winning? Then be sure to at least collect 5 different badges, and you’ll automatically qualify for an €80 voucher good on oppostyle.com for R7, R7 Plus or R7s purchases, no strings attached.

Three and even one badge will let you take €40 and €20 respectively off the retail costs of the handheld trio, but alas, “prizes are only available in certain regions.” Where won’t they be found on Monday? Oppo doesn’t say, but we’re guessing the promotion is restricted to Europe, since the sole currency mentioned in the forum post sourced below is the Euro.

Currently, both the “standard”, 3 gig memory-touting R7 and the R7s set you back €349 on the old continent, while the R7 Plus goes for €429 with a larger 6-inch screen in tow.
