Could this benchmark have given us a look at the OnePlus Two?
According to OnePlus, the sequel to its affordable OnePlus One flagship is set to arrive later this year around Q3. Which means, at this point, it’s not too early to begin drumming up hype for the release of what’s expected to be another powerful phone with a good value. Today, a possible OnePlus Two benchmark has given us a look at some possible specs the phone is expected to carry when it goes official later this year.
This benchmark lists the model number of the processor as the MSM8994, which corresponds to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 SoC. Geekbench lists this as an 8-core CPU, though the clock speed doesn’t look very accurate – this could simply have to do with this being a pre-launch prototype. The last thing the benchmark tells us about the phone is that it will feature 3GB of RAM, which is less than the 4GB that phones like ASUS’s ZenFone 2 bring to the table, but is fairly standard for flagship smartphones in 2015.
Assuming this benchmark is accurate – and of the OnePlus Two after all – we’re going to be in for the launch of a great smartphone later this year. Stay tuned.
