Right now in OnePlus One circles, there are two big questions on everyone’s mind: when’s OxygenOS getting here, and when can we expect the release of CyanogenMod 12S with all its Lollipop goodness? We’ve been checking out progress towards both, but when revealing the OxygenOS team the other week, OnePlus didn’t have a lot to say about just when any of this might arrive, instead deferring towards promises that (at least in the case of Oxygen OS) it intended to release a fully-stable build which would “take some time” to get right. Now OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei is shedding a bit of light on the subject, teasing releases for next month.

In response to an inquiry on Twitter, Pei talks about just such stable builds being on-track for release in March. He further clarifies that he means both OxygenOS and CyanogenMod 12S, and that we’re looking at “mid to late” March, rather than anything closer to the start of the month.

For users waiting as long for Lollipop as OnePlus owners have, word of another month to go before they’ll see their updates isn’t great news, and a number are already voicing their dissatisfaction on social media. That said, we’re just happy to be getting some insight into the progress of these updates at all.
