OnePlus Bullets V2 are the plain ‘ol earbuds we’ve always deserved

We’re eating our hats. We bet the house on OnePlus’s whole “V2” reveal today to be on another version of the OnePlus Icons. Turns out that those classy little things won’t get replaced anytime soon.

Instead, we’ll have to think standard. Or re-think what comes standard.

The OnePlus Bullets (V2) are replacing the $15 Silver Bullets that are out of stock in its store right now. We could presume that these new “Best Buds for Life” will take the same or similar price point, but with these promo points, who knows where the startup will go…

German audio firm LOFO helped OnePlus make these earbuds with in-line volume and mic/remote control. Each has a diaphragm made out of ARYPHAN polyarylate, said to be feather-weight and very receptive to most vibration frequencies. Connected to each 9mm driver is a high-quality black copper coil sourced from Japan “helps bring out the tiniest details” in your listening.

Tuning-wise, you’ll find a bit more reception with bass hits and upper notes with crisper voices in general.

All in all, we wish these earbuds — as good as they sound like they’ll sound — were included in OnePlus 3 boxes. You know, you gotta kill flagships in more ways than one. But we’ll have to bite our nails on when these Bullets are headed to market.

Update: We believe that the price of the Bullets V2 will be $19.99, based on loading the product page on OnePlus’s mobile site.
