OnePlus 2 open sales are only available in North America for one hour this afternoon – don’t forget

Invitations are back for the OnePlus 2, but just over a month ago, we learned of a temporary reprieve coming up over the horizon: for one hour, OnePlus would throw its fans a bone and allow them to order the company’s 2015 flagship with no invite needed: the old money-for-product exchange, no fuss, no muss (crazy, right?). At the time OnePlus wasn’t quite sure when it was going to actually offer this deal, but details finally arrived late last week. Now with the wide-open sales about to begin in our neck of the woods, we’re giving you one more reminder: this may be your best, easiest shot at buying the OnePlus 2 for a while.

The OnePlus 2 no-invite-needed sales get started for US and Canadian shoppers in just under an hour, at 3pm Eastern (noon Pacific).

Other nations around the world already got access to their own hours of OnePlus 2 invite-free sales: the windows in both Asia and Europe passed earlier today. If you were hoping to get your phone through one of those, we hope you successfully snagged your handset. Now it’s America’s turn – so who’s biting?

OnePlus is currently only offering the OnePlus 2 in its 64GB configuration (with 4GB of RAM), priced at just about $390. For an extra $25, OnePlus will hook your new phone up with one of its interchangeable StyleSwap covers, available in an array of material options.
