OnePlus 2 sales to start on August 8 in Experience Stores?
According to a recent report from China, those who have set their eyes on the soon-to-become-official OnePlus 2 will be able to grab one, in a limited supply, starting August 8, via OnePlus’ own “Experience” Store in China. We can’t really read Chinese, but we’ll trust this report, if it all comes down to just reading the text on the card pictured above.
As a side note, we all know that the OnePlus 2 is being referred to as the “2016 flagship killer”. We’ve couldn’t help but wonder why the manufacturer is feeling so bold, in terms of futureproofing (in a very fast-moving technology world), that it allows itself to make such a bold statement. Well, an official blog post explains it: “Contrary to what some of our followers on social media may have believed, our tagline is not a typo – the OnePlus 2 was not created to compete with the flagships from 2015. We’re more interested in looking further into the future.” OnePlus believes that the internals of the OnePlus 2, as well as its features and software, are ahead of its time, both in terms of functionality, and user experience (“OxygenOS, are equally pioneering. It comes with features that won’t be available on other devices until Android M”). Luckily the event should happen very soon, and the wait will be over.
