HTC One M9 Plus physical mock-up constructed

Yesterday we took a look the latest info to arrive on the HTC One M9+ (or Plus – who knows?). It wasn’t a huge leak, but it attempted to nail-down the phone’s dimensions and included a newly constructed render of how the phone supposedly appeared. It was clear this wasn’t a HTC-originated image, but one assembled by the source reporting this news, in an effort to protect his tipster. Now we’re taking another look at the One M9+ as that same source share a little more about how he came by this information, while also constructing a physical mock-up of the phone.

NowhereElseFr’s Steve Hemmerstoffer reveals that he got to check out the prototype One M9+ over a Skype video call. While he hasn’t shared any screencaps of that encounter, what he saw has fueled this latest round of imagery.

Now in addition to yesterday’s renders we also have this dummy handset he’s assembled, appearing to be a 3D-printed frame layered with printouts of those same renders. While it doesn’t offer us much new insight into the phone nor HTC’s release intentions for it, we can still appreciate how it serves to help make the hardware feel that much more real. And until some additional shots of the actual handset emerge, we’re just eager to see what we can.
