You might remember the “Be a Martian” application by NASA for Windows Phone 7 letting you download NASA imagery of Mars and then you can help analyze it and send the data back to NASA. Now you have an official NASA application for Android in addition to the iOS variant.

The official Android application is available for free and brings you am exhausting collection of images, videos, mission information, news, and NASA TV. Launch information and countdown clocks are a pretty neat way to keep track of such activities if you’re passionate about space exploration.

Both the Android and the iOS application versions are feature packed offering a great way to enhance your knowledge by exploring the final frontier. We just have to keep our fingers crossed there will soon be a similar official NASA app for Windows Phone 7.
