That “Lumia 1820” may just be a pipe dream for now, but Nokia’s got some other hardware that not only seems very much real, but looks nearly ready to launch. Last week, we saw the company start sending out save-the-dates for an October 22 event, where we’d presumably be hearing it announce such hardware. We’ve still got a month to go, but now Nokia’s talking a little more about what it’s got planned, sharing news of Nokia World in Abu Dhabi.

The new teaser images, above and below, move from the barren sand dunes of last week’s installment to the sunny shores of the Persian Gulf. The company drops some new hashtags, none of which really offer much insight into its announcement, but speculation has been fierce that the Lumia 1520 phablet could be the star, giving us our first official look at a 1080p Windows Phone experience.

There’s also the possibility that we could see something of the Lumia 929, or even Nokia’s RT tablet, tipped to arrive as the Lumia 2520. If Nokia keeps up the pace with its teasers between now and October 22, maybe we’ll be able to look forward to a little more revealing hint in the weeks to come.
