Nokia Italy Chimes In With Windows Phone 7.8 ETA

Man, Nokia’s various European divisions just cannot seem to stop talking about Windows Phone 7.8 on social media. Yesterday, we found out that Nokia Spain was telling interested users that the long-awaited update for Windows Phone 7.5 handsets was going to be ready sometime in January, and that the only think that would keep them from getting their hands on it would be carriers slowing down its release. Now Nokia Italy is joining in on the action, taking to Twitter with its own proclamations of WP7.8’s pending arrival.

According to Nokia Italy (responding in French), Windows Phone 7.8 will be available “in a few days”. We realize this may just be an attempt to placate anxious users, and “a few days” could be a gentle way of saying it could still be a week or two, but we thought we’d bring it to your attention all the same; Windows Phone 7.8 could be here before you know it!
