It was starting to look late last week that Nokia was finally getting ready to bring Belle to the Symbian-Anna-running masses. While we still hadn’t seen news of the expected update going out to existing users, the company confirmed that some of these models for which we’ve been expecting updates to arrive were already shipping out new to retailers with Belle pre-installed. With the stage set for Belle updates to arrive, we’ve been waiting for a sign as to when. It looks like Nokia Vietnam may have just let the news slip, posting a message to Facebook that teases the update’s release for February 8.

Nokia Vietnam briefly hosted a page on its own site (pictured above) advertising the coming update, but it’s since been taken down. What’s odd, though, is that the company’s announcement to Facebook of the same information continues to remain up on the company’s wall, now fourteen hours since its original posting.

Users who have been taking advantage of leaked software to get an early taste of Belle on their phones report that making the upgrade can result in marked performance improvements. From changes to the home screen, to new notifications, to the lock screen and NFC, Belle promises to deliver a ton of improvements to patient Nokia customers; their waits should be over in less than two weeks’ time.
