Over the weekend we got what appears to be our first real look at Nokia’s Lumia 928 for Verizon, with a leaked render of the handset in black surfacing. This on its own was big news, as we’ve been tracking evidence of the 928 for some time now, showing up in smartphone databases and having a few of its camera’s images posted online. As we wait to learn how the carrier will finally put the phone up for sale, we’ve got one more look at the 928 to take, now showing off the phone in white.

While this is only a rear look, the front of this white version presumably keeps the same general layout and logo placement as the black version. The white does make it a bit easier to appreciate the rather large speaker grille around back, and we can still see what appears to be a real xenon flash, a nice cherry on top of the already stellar PureView package from the original 920.

Of course, for as nice as this looks, it’s still essentially five-month-old hardware. We’re sure Verizon-stuck Windows Phone fans will appreciate having the new option, but WP8 could really use some truly fresh blood. If some other rumors we’ve heard pan out, Nokia could still be the company to deliver on that.
