Nokia Lumia 925 becomes officially available in Germany, comes with Nokia Glance Screen

We were there in London for the Nokia Lumia 925 launch event on May 14. Less than a month later the Nokia Lumia 925 becomes officially available in Germany, as the first market to get the phone. Nokia promises that other European markets, China, the U.S., and select countries worldwide will follow.

The phone packs a 4.5-inch AMOLED screen with WXGA (1280×768) resolution and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. Has 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and a brand new camera construction with six Carl Zeiss lens in top of a 8.7-megapixel PureView camera. There’s also a 1.2-megapixel wide-angle webcam and a 2,000mAh battery.

Together with the Nokia Lumia 925 the company introduces the Nokia Glance Screen. It gives you the ability to quickly look at the display of your phone and read off information like the time or battery level, without the need of touching the device. The information can be permanently displayed on the screen (and can of course be turned off). It will also come to other Windows Phone devices once the commercially available version will be ready. This is a beta, as Nokia calls it, at the moment.
