Nokia Fan Teases Lumia 920 Model For Verizon

We just got a look at Nokia’s Lumia 822, a CDMA variant of the Lumia 820 that’s on track for a launch at Verizon. It sounds like that handset might not be arriving alone, as NokiaPureView’s been busy this morning tweeting away that there’s a similar version of the 920 also in Verizon’s future.

At first, the account just mentions outside rumors of the Lumia 922, but it slowly starts claiming first-hand experience with such a phone, though it doesn’t go so far as to confirm the model number.

NokiaPureView writes, “lumia 9XX for verizon so beautiful :)” and laments that it can’t share images of the handset because “@selop don’t want us to take photos”. It claims that this phone “look like 920 but looks like thinner and lighter” and that we should expect it to arrive “end of year or 2013 at CES”. Supposedly, the handset is only now undergoing carrier testing.

So, there you go: once AT&T’s exclusivity ends, maybe we could be seeing a whole lot more from the 920. The account also started speculating about a possible Lumia 1001, but for the moment that doesn’t sound like anything more than wishful thinking.

Update: Corrections to reflect proper nature of NokiaPureView account
