Nokia Camera Extension to Grace Lumia Windows Phones

By Anton D. Nagy May 19, 2012, 9:36 am

Nokia appears to be truly committed to Windows Phones and while the hardware capabilities are standardized over OEMs, the Finnish manufacturer is further differentiating itself from the others with the help of dedicated applications, like the Creative Studio from the end of March. Furthermore, a "Camera Extension" will be launched for the Lumia line-up which will integrate with the Camera application of Windows Phone, but with added features.

These features will bring no less than four camera modes: Smart Group Shot, Action Shot (burst mode with about eight shots), Panoramic (stitching together five consecutive images) and the timer Self-timer. The Smart Group Shot will take a series of five images; you can later review them and select the best shot for each person. The app will then generate a final image which should be the perfect shot. At the moment there are no details regarding the release of these goodies but until then take a look at some video demos of Panorama and Smart Group Shot below.
