Nexus 5X still $199 with a Project Fi subscription until May 8 [UPDATE: June 9th]

Still holding out on Project Fi? If you have been considering the pros and cons of Google’s amalgamated MVNO service, you have another 30 days to think about them.

Google’s been offering the Nexus 5X with your subscription to Project Fi for the discounted price of $199. That promotion was supposed to end today. Turns out that Google didn’t want it to end.

Make sure that if you do follow along with the deal that you activate your SIM within 30 days. You’ll get charged an additional $150 for the full retail price of that Nexus 5X otherwise. You can also buy the phone, then activate Fi service within the promo campaign to get $150 off.

Remember that your Project Fi SIM still only launches with a Nexus 5X, 6P or 6.

Update: Well, we’re kind of late to the party, but the deal is currently good through June 9.
