Yesterday evening, we got word from Google that back-orders for the new Nexus 4 would finally start shipping out this week, following an initial sales rush that exhausted Google’s original stock of the phone. That’s well and good for those of you who managed to get an order in, but what of the rest of you? When would Google start accepting new orders for the Nexus 4? You’ll finally have your shot in just a few hours, as Google’s now announced that the Nexus 4 will be going back up for sale this afternoon.

Beginning at noon Pacific time (3:00 pm Eastern), Google will be lifting that glaring red “SOLD OUT” from the Nexus 4’s Google Play listing and once again start accepting new orders. Though the company wasn’t much with specifics, we’re hoping that means that both the 8GB and 16GB models will be available, and both shipping in a matter of days, instead of still on a three-week back-order. Of course, we just won’t know for another four hours, but we’re optimistic that over the past couple weeks Google’s been able to work out the supply issues that led to the initial Nexus 4 shortage.

For now, the return of Nexus 4 sales will only apply to customers buying the phones in the US. With any luck we’ll get an update on international availability soon.
