Two of the biggest mobile rivals have now released compelling and intriguing miniature tablet hardware for 2013. Google first launched the new Nexus 7 back in July. Price may have been its big selling feature, but that wasn’t the only wallop it packed. It sports great specifications, a gorgeous display, and a quaint yet beautiful design.

The iPad mini with Retina Display, which we unboxed earlier this week, is just about its polar opposite. It boasts premium hardware, the absolute best specifications Apple could muster, and calls for premium prices.
