Motorola Lollipop update prepared for all 2013 and 2014 phones; coming “really soon”

There is absolutely no need to recap Motorola’s efforts related to the Android 5.0 Lollipop update; instead, we’ll just praise the company for being among the first ones to deliver Google’s latest and greatest to its current devices. However, those who own older models are not enjoying the Lollipop dessert just yet, but the company is getting there, according to Motorola’s Luciano Carvalho who took some details on the progress to his Google+ page (embedded below).

According to the post, Carvalho reassures everyone that Motorola is working hard on updating 2014 and 2013 devices. Some are already getting an over-the-air refresh to Android 5.0.2, but that is a limited soak test for various devices in different regions. However, if there are no critical bugs along the way, it shouldn’t be long now until users of 2014 and 2013 devices will officially get it. Joining the Moto X (2014) and Moto G (2014) will be all Motorola handsets (Droid Turbo, Moto Maxx, Moto E, Moto X (2013), Moto G (2013), Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx, and Droid Mini).
