There isn't much mystery left to Verizon's upcoming Motorola Droid X2 — a.k.a. Daytona and MB870 — and now an official spec sheet has appeared to fill in whatever blanks remained. As rumored, the X² (that's X-squared) is a 4.3-inch, 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2-powered device with qHD resolution and eight-megapixel camera, currently running Android 2.2 Froyo but probably shipping with 2.3 Gingerbread. Apparently the RAM/ROM configuration will remain identical to the original Droid X at 512MB/8GB, although the Tegra 2 chipset enables higher-quality video playback (1080p over HDMI) as well as higher framrates for both playback and capture (between 26-30fps, reportedly).

Connectivity-wise, you've got the same EV-DO Rev. A mobile broadband and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, but Wi-Fi has gained the 802.11a standard for full a/b/g/n functionality. Sensors, meanwhile, also remain the same: proximity, light, accelerometer, and e-compass.

With the X2 already showing up in Verizon's system along with those of third party retailers, we expect a launch within the next month (perhaps as soon as next week), as well as a price point below $200.
