Motorola Droid X2 Getting Bugfix, Stability Updates

Back in August, Motorola released an update for its Droid X2 that brought the phone up to Gingerbread. Now the X2 is set to receive its next update, bringing with it a whole mess of bugfixes and improvements.

System software 1.3.380.MB870 should bring with it increased phone stability, in case you’ve been running into any unexpected resets; problems related to lockups and the on-screen keyboard have been specifically addressed. Other keyboard-related fixes include properly keeping it on-screen while entering text, and making sure it shows you which keys you’re pressing. There had been problems with trying to take pictures after waking phone the back up from being asleep, but those should now be taken care of.

Motorola doesn’t specify just what’s its done to warrant such claims, but says you should expect improved audio streaming and both video playback and recording. Separately, its fixed an audio playback issue that would cause track to skip in certain apps, and a video problem that made YouTube freeze.

There’s nothing immediately earth-shattering about this release, but the number and scope of the available bugfixes make it look like one Droid X2 owners will be happy to receive. Look for it to be arriving presently.
