The Moto Z and Moto Z Force have proven to be a very interesting approach to smartphone design from the defunct Motorola, now owned by Lenovo. Surely these aren’t perfect as they defy current standards in both thinness and the lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack. If you don’t agree that features like this one should see a better life, it seems that Moto read the memo.

Sources have recently discovered that there is another Moto Z coming to the market, which we assume to be the Moto Z Play. Differences in design are clearly evident in the fact that the 3.5mm headphone jack is included on this design, and this is then matched by a similar USB Type C port that we see on the rest of the Moto Z lineup. Sadly details are scarce over what else to expect from this device, given the fact that last-year’s Moto X Play was more a premium mid-ranger, and not a flagship.

We’ll keep you posted as we learn more.
