Moto X+1 leaks spell camera with optical zoom, and other features?

The Moto X+1 should be among us in the next couple of weeks. There is a lot of pressure for this phone to live up to the market acceptance that the Moto X never reached with its unique features. Even if Motorola would decide to only fix a couple of quirks, the Moto X is still ahead of its time, and reports claim that the Moto X+1 will push the bar even further.

One of the biggest complaints we had with the Moto X was its camera, and trusted sources claim that Motorola has found a way to fit optical zoom into the camera of the Moto X+1. We’re not exactly sure how the company will pull this off, but the size of that camera lens is rather odd. The source also claims that the device will sport the same Touchless Controls that we saw with the Moto X, but there is a confusing portion of the leak that mentions 3D. Sadly the translation isn’t of much help, but some publications are assuming that this is a 3D display, where as we’re more inclined to assume there is some 3D gesture recognition here.

We’ll be covering the Motorola event live, so stay tuned as we uncover more details on what to expect.
