Moto X sales are disappointing, claims report

We’re expecting the Moto G announcement, which should happen tomorrow; the rumored low-cost phone will join the bigger brother, the Moto X, on Motorola’s portfolio of products. However, despite being popular among reviewers, the Moto X sales are disappointing, according to a recent Wall Street Journal report.

The recent Moto X price cut is allegedly a reaction for the disappointing performance of the phone on the market. WSJ quotes Strategy Analytics, that claim “roughly 500,000 Moto X phones were sold in the third quarter”.

Motorola opted to make the Moto X special, by not packing highest-end specs within. Apparently, if the report is to be believed, this is not what the market wants at the moment, despite a lot of innovation underneath the glass and plastic.
