Put your skeptical hat on, right now, before you continue reading. As it usually is with leaks, we can’t verify the veracity of information that’s made public.
This video claims to show off the next generation Moto X, that will likely be announced soon. This Moto X 2015 leak, in the shape of a video (embedded below), allegedly shows off a wooden backed device (but you can’t really see much, as most of it has been covered up to “protect” the source of the leak).
We can live with that. The rest of the info in this Moto X 2015 leak claims that the device will feature a 5.64-inch with Quad HD resolution (1440 x 2560), a Snapdragon processor (unnamed), 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage (21GB available to the user), stereo speakers, and a possible Type C USB port. Android 5.1.1 should come out of the box, and material options will include plastic, wood, leather and something new, unnamed (probably in the line of what we’ve recently seen with denim).
These specs are nothing like the ones we’ve previously seen and heard rumored for the upcoming device.
That being said, what do you think of this leak? Credible or not? What’s on your Moto X 2015 wishlist?
Update: PhoneArena claims there will be two versions of the Moto X 2015: a 5.7-inch QHD version as a Verizon exclusive, and a 5.2-inch QHD variant for the rest of us.
