Moto G4 and G4 Plus now available with a legion of Moto Maker options

There are a number of deals to be had already on “standard” Motorola Moto G4 and G4 Plus variants across a few trusted third-party US retailers, but if you’re willing to pay a little extra and make the phones your own, today’s the day you can start ordering customized models straight from the manufacturer.

For the first time ever, Lenovo’s daughter company spreads the Moto Maker love beyond the high-end Moto X lineup, letting you mix and match various front, back and accent colors on fourth-gen Moto Gs for an added splash of uniqueness.

The non-fingerprint-recognizing, 13MP rear camera-sporting Moto G4 costs $200 in a base 16GB data-accommodating configuration, or $30 more with 32GB storage. For $250, you get a Moto G4 Plus with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM, while $300 will net you the upper mid-range 5.5-incher packing twice as much memory and four times extra hoarding room.

From there, you have two front options (dark moon or metallic silver), eight rear cover paint jobs, from deep sea blue to raspberry to lava red and pitch black, as well as your choice of five accents, including metallic silver, pink and ocean. All of these are available at no additional charge, with personalized engravings however setting you back $5.
