Motorola is doing a great job (alongside one or two other OEMs) in delivering the latest Android update. The Moto G Android Lollipop update is available as of now for you to download, if you have the latest version of the handset, which is the 2014 variant.

According to this report, unlocked Moto G (2014) devices are getting over-the-air update notifications which, if actioned upon, trigger the download of a 386.7MB file, which is nothing else but the official Moto G Android Lollipop update. Since Motorola is keeping things as close to stock as possible (offering a really Nexus-like experience to customers), you should expect to see a rather vanilla Android 5.0 experience. That doesn’t mean you will be bored, as there are a lot of things to play with, and get accustomed to, like the new “material” design, lock screen notifications, multi-user support, as well as dramatic battery life improvements.

Have you received yours yet? Given the resemblance between the 2014 and the 2013 models of the Moto G, we wouldn’t be surprised to see the update roll out to the original Moto G soon. Let us know how the process went, and your thoughts on it.
