Update: Mophie has responded saying that the S7 and S7 edge juice packs will have micro-USB jacks for the devices to plug into.

No jacks on hand, just an ace up the sleeve — at least, that’s what we imagine. Mophie is back on the juice pack train. This time, it’s going where it hasn’t gone before: wireless.

Mophie announced Qi standard juice packs for the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge that will provide an extra 3,300mAh or “more than 60% extra battery and full case protection.” The cases themselves are Qi-chargeable and will support fast wireless charging adn pass-through charging — meaning that the device gets power before the case does.

No word on if this means that the Micro-B jack gets done away with on the cases. We’ve inquired to Mophie and will update this piece if and when we hear back.

Also no word on a timetable for availability, but the cases will be available in a gold trim for the Galaxy S7 and a black trim for both devices at a price of $99.95 each.
