Microsoft drops the price on Surface 2, but will it sell?

Microsoft hasn’t had much fun trying to sell its Windows RT variant of the Surface. We’ve already discussed how this has nothing to do with the hardware, but really with Windows RT, though there are a few here and there that find the experience to be just fine. If you’re in the market for a tablet that runs something that looks and feels like Windows, and your demand isn’t for some top-notch professional apps, Microsoft might have just cut you a deal.

Microsoft has just slashed $100 off its Surface 2 models, which would leave the basic Wi-Fi 32GB variant at just $350, then for the 64GB variant you’ll pay $450, and for the LTE model you’ll pay $580 respectively. Surely not the cheapest prices in the market in comparison to some full-fledged Windows 8 tablets from Dell, but this is a decent price tag if you’d rather have a bigger display.

Just keep in mind that this deal lasts until September 27, so get them while they’re still available.
