Microsoft OWA Android client announced, coming later this year
OWA stands for Outlook Web Access and if you’re using Exchange (or Office 365) on your computer’s browser, or on your iPhone or iPad, you know it’s a pretty handy tool for collaboration and communication. It offers access to e-mail, contacts, calendar, and tasks, pretty much like Google’s own suite of products, including Gmail.
While Apple users are able to install and use OWA on their iPhones and iPads, Android users will soon be able to do the same. Microsoft has announced the Microsoft OWA Android client, however, without any specific timeframes. We expect the same functionality like on Apple’s iOS, meaning you’ll be able to, as the iTunes description puts it, “get work done faster with email”, “manage your schedule with ease”, and “keep business data secure”.
