Lumia 950

Satya Nadella made it a point to make Microsoft cool again a few months ago, and our reaction was mainly of disbelief given how long its taken the company to announce new Microsoft Lumia flagships. Instead we’ve seen Redmond announce a bevy of entry-level devices, and at this point we continue to wait for the final build of Windows 10 Mobile. Today all this has changed though with Microsoft announcing two new flagships, the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL, and we go hands on.

If you’re wondering why we’re making a single video for both flagships, the main reason is because they’re almost identical, except for aesthetics. If you want detailed specifications for each we suggest you visit our announcement posts for the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL respectively. Our first impressions regarding the hardware are sadly that these devices remind us of Nokia design back in 2013. Surely there is premium hardware here, but it doesn’t seem like if Microsoft went the extra mile in the aesthetics department.

Sadly Windows 10 Mobile was not final software on these devices either, so we’ll have to leave our final impressions for our full review.
