The premature British price cuts of the Microsoft Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL definitely came as a (pleasant) surprise for Windows fans across Europe, but if you’re lucky enough to live in the Netherlands or Belgium, we have more good news to report.
This local online retailer called Belsimpel lists both Windows 10 Mobile flagships in stock, and promises to deliver them at your doorsteps for free tomorrow if you place your order before 11:30 pm today. That’s crazy early, even by the two Benelux countries’ standards, as the Dutch Microsoft Store, for instance, can only pledge to Lumia 950 shipments by November 30.
Speaking of, official pre-orders are live in a host of Microsoft Stores on the old continent, including the British and Italian departments, and ETAs range from late November to early December. Pricing hasn’t budged any further, so in the UK, you’re expected to pay £450 ($690) and £530 ($815) for the unlocked Lumia 950 and 950 XL respectively.
Italians are asked €599 ($660) for the smaller, hexa-core Snapdragon 808-packing phone, and €699 ($770) for the 5.7-inch/octa-core SD810 model, which means Americans should really not complain about having to cough up $550 and $650 before long.
While we’re on the subject of retail costs in various worldwide markets, let us grab your attention for one final moment as we bring you unofficial Indian news. Around those parts, the Microsoft Lumia 950 is tipped to go for Rs 38,000 ($585), and the Lumia 950 XL shall likely command a tag of Rs 43,000 ($660), which is almost as “affordable” as stateside.
